Hi and thanks for starting this blog for our ongoing debate.
Here is what I just posted in the DL thread on this story, in response to this quote from a trans activist who objected to the Red dress Party: ”How can a LGBT center be a safe space for their community when they profit from imagery that can trigger psychosis within someone they are tasked to support?”
”Psychosis is only triggered in someone who is psychotic. Psychosis cannot be triggered in someone who is well.
Psychosis is defined as a severe mental disorder in which thought and emotions are so impaired that contact is lost with external reality.
The trans seem to be arguing that their severe mental disorders, which cause them to lose contract with reality, is caused by gay men having a bit of fun for charity.
It isn’t. The problem is THEM and their ILLNESS. Not US”
